When you visit our waterfront pool, taking a stroll through our park is almost irresistible. Nestled between the pool and Lake Houston to the south, our park serves as an ideal gathering spot for neighbors to come together and create wonderful memories. Accessible to all Lake Shadows residents, the park can also be reserved for special events. It features a gazebo, a pavilion, restrooms, playground equipment, and a waterfront pier.

Established in 1962 by S & M Inc., a group that included Cyril Smith, Elizabeth Rogers, Carol Bicknell, Samuel Bicknell, and Clinton Anderson, it initially consisted of over 170 acres on the east shore of Lake Houston in Harris County, Texas. Sections One, Two, and Three of Lake Shadows were promptly platted. In 1972, Mr. Smith (S & M Inc.) added an additional 46+ acres, designating it as Section Four of Lake Shadows. The following year, 1973, saw another 81+ acres platted as Section Five. In January 1994, Mr. Eddie Glover and James Walker, two of the last three members of the original committee as outlined in the articles of incorporation from 1962, entrusted the responsibility of appointing new committee members to the Lake Shadows Civic League. In April 2006, WCID #70 (water and sewer utility) platted an extra 10+ acres, which became known as Section Six of Lake Shadows. In 2006, Billy Gerhardt created the original Lake Shadows website, and in June 2014, Kerry Rachal developed the current site, which is maintained by dedicated volunteers.

Whether you approach from Bluff View Drive or Shore Side Drive to the east, the Lake Shadows pool stands out as a unique amenity. Unlike many community pools, this one is situated right at the water's edge, offering a delightful beach-front atmosphere and charm. All homeowners are warmly invited to enjoy our pool and recreational area.

Our boat launch offers exceptional access to the eastern side of Lake Houston. The launch area is fully bulkheaded and features three walking piers. The concrete boat ramp has a gentle slope and reaches toward the center of the channel, depending on the water levels.
